To breathe; breath; rest, stop, settle, cease; produce, interest.

謂鼻中之氣， 無前三種麤相， 而出入綿綿， 若存若亡者， 為息。 坐禪之人， 依之而數， 則資神安隱， 情抱悅豫， 其心易定， 故須守而不捨也。
